They are both types of SLA battery, so I can't see why this wouldn't work. In 
fact I would think deep cycle batteries would be better for a UPS.

The charging min and max voltages should be the same, so, again, this looks 
like it will work ok.

Do you mean the post-UPS line, or the mains feed to the UPS?
