I think I have seen a cross-shaped 4-ended chuck key somewhere. One for each lathe would suffice, with capacity for extra unique chucks. I'd colour code the ends for rapid selection, using a splotch of the same paint on a chuck. Making the cross-shaped 4-ended chuck key is a great excuse to avoid the expense of a bought one. A vagrant thought: If several chucks have similar key size, what about Loctiting shims inside the scrollworms? Erik (Who has two chucks, and one key.) -- A man with one watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never quite sure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
