It's good that you are doing this.

It you want to improve the audio the #1 rule is to place the
microphone as close as possible.   It sounds to me like it is far
enough away to pick up so room echo.   I'd invest in a good cavalier
microphone.

Better method is to do the audio as a voice over after you have edited
the video.  Then you can use a studio microphone in a quiet
environment.  Doing the voice over later also allows you to edit out
mistakes and those little things you don't really mean to say like
"ah" "awe" and "you know" and so on.   Studio microphones can be
really close up.  I set it up about 6 to 8 inches and use a pop filter
