But the ER20 doesn't really have room for a serious bearing, one that I 
couldn't crush the balls in with  a 10" crescent wrench.  Any bearing 
ball that would fit in that space would have to be .0625" balls maximum, 
probably smaller. And if not  crushed, the races badly brinneled at 
least than the normal snugging up torque.

I wish I had some of your bigger "toys". ;-)  OTOH, this has done nearly 
everything I've asked it to do so far, including making and then  
driving its own molding cutter about 4" across.
