Are you using the correct color terminal for the wire gage? If so and it is still loose one trick is to fold the wire in half before you push it in the terminal,
The adjustment compensates for tool wear, You need to do this after a maybe few thousand terminals I always end up taking the whole thing apart to see how it works.
