In this case of watching gear teeth go by, divide the tooth space, which
for this particular gear is pi*0.1, by 4, and use any ODD multiplier to
get the spacing. So that base quadrature then=0.078539816339744831"

Multiply by any odd integer to get a usable spacing. The center to center
distance is obtained by the above math to rediculous accuracy. But the
unknown is the width of the package, as that is not stated in the
datasheets mechanical drawings. Which I find strange looking at footnote
B which states that there is a grounded piece of the leadframe
essentially flush with the side of the device, available on both sides.
That folks, would be a quite precisely stamped out part, the width of
which IS known to around .01mm and would determine the maximum width of
the button. So why is that measurement left to us to make with our
calipers? Its an apparently on purpose ommision.

Sam also said that he never let his schooling interfere with his

I've sat on that park bench facing the river in Hannibal Mo., beside his
statue sitting there watching old man river go by. I aslo walked across
that river, where it exits Lake Itaska. It was about 8 feet wide and 4"
deep. Just deep enough to soak my socks, and colder than a bucket of
ice cubes yet in mid June. I think I was about 6 yo at the time.

True, enough Dave, but the failures are spectacularly stupid ones, and
thats embarrasing.
