How many amps do you need to enable? There is a dedicated spindle-drive enable, 7i76 has sourcing outputs, and the drive seems to be hard-wired for sinking outputs, so it looks like you do need a relay or similar. I say "similar" because you could probably use a ULN2003. file:///C:/Users/APUGH12/Downloads/ULN2003APG_datasheet_en_20101203.pdf (One chip could buffer all the drive inputs but you probably want one-per-drive to avoid linking all the drive commons.) -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
