My wife has a PhD in Medicine from Karolinska in Sweden. It took 5½ years and required 4 published articles, at the same time you write one article for a technical degree and it takes 3 years. For sure you can write many articles under your PhD studies and they can include a broad spectra of issues. If he used LinuxCNC to prove ideas they are a part of his PhD. But there's no need for us to guess about it. I'll ask him directly. :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
