Already done that, add 8 more, and by the time I was done, I have only 1
left. But I'm about out of screen room to use very any more, so its
probaby moot.

AND, hot damn, hooray yadda yadda I just now got everything working. It
turns out that mc must be suffering from bit rot, I mean it was OLD when
I made my first linux install in late 1997 with floppies of red hat 5.0.

When I was busy using it to rename stuff to suit me, I wasn't noticing it
was doing funkity things for a rt-shift -, aka underline, so my
filenames weren't matching up. And of course I also neglected to change
the internal names to match. Fixed that for the 3rd time it seems.

I went back to Big JohnT's align.zip file again, finding his version of
the additions to the MDI_COMMAND list did not have an "=" between the
MDI_COMMAND = filename, putting that in was part of it, (and the forum
sw, being html, probably stripped the "=" out of his post, but once I'd
squared all that away I was able to go back into JohnT's files and
comment out everything in the way of debugs/msg's that was not an
actually a "hey big dummy" error. I now have led tally's for all the
various states. So after this 4+ day fight, somewhat caused by mc, I
now have a grin thats pushing my ears back. Why, I might even have a 2nd
beer to celebrate!

I need to diddle the lengths of some of the leds in the xml file just to
make them match the buttons better and then I'm good to go. I hope.

Murphy thinks the rent and beer are free around here, so he's always
lurking, even drinks my last beer once in a blue moon...

Thanks TomP. Have a good holiday in a few days.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
