I just found, for 7/8" R8 collet, made in Korea (doesn't claim N or S) says .0005 TIR, better than most for this project, so now I can keep 3 of them preloaded. Just under $8/copy.
I don't know if they are fibbing, or actually trying to take away some of that business from the Chinese.
