At an auction here in Wichita one of these (a different brand) sold for
about USD4000.00 a couple months ago. The guy told the auctioneer's office
he would have paid more than USD40,000.00 for the machine. He felt he got a
steal. There are a couple dental labs here in town. I almost went but all I
would have accomplished would have been to force the guy to pay more for
the machine as I would not have paid anywhere near USD40,000.00.

The reviews on the website extol the virtue of accurate dimensions and
finishes. I think the geometry allows very good step over blending that
yields almost no polishing to achieve the required finish. When the tool is
almost stationary and the rotary axes rotate around the center point you
get almost no sine/cosine (rotary) error in the blend.

The Bostomatic 5 axis machines were similar in design concept. Put the Z on
the A allowing the tool length offset to position the tool tip at the
center of rotation of the A axis.
