You should visit industrial salvage yards..

I nearly cried when I heard that one of my customers had thrown away... 4
.... Fanuc M-16iB robots.  (they were running out of space)
Imagine what got chucked out in Japan after Fukashima.
Amazing stuff gets thrown out all the time because it has zero book value,
and no-one in the company even knows how it works..
Befriend the guys that work there and get them to alert you as soon as
something technical comes in the gates.
