First time I read about python I thought it have been started because students like to feel "python" which translate to "not so good" in Swedish, most probably because they like party and alcohol. I also thought they listed bad properties because of this to make a really bad programming language, I remember swearing about the tab in Makefile before I discovered it was different from and lack of type checking. I did not look close at it and forget about it.
As I remember learning it at university it was: Type checking is good and personally I use it then available to not by misstake put wrong type of data in a variable, usually the type could also provide some information not only about what type of data should be in function parameters but also what parameter is supposed to do. In a good integrated development environment type hierachy for parameters is available then it works as supposed to. A good thing mentioned was some programming misstakes could be found before program run. I also learned local variables are good. Me become old and stupid? Nicklas Karlsson Using an ordinary payment terminal cards does not make me really happy because it could be modified to show wrong amount, especially not at companies with not so good economy but I have also been chocked to see peoply using wireless cards for payments and then reading about it indeed bringing a payment terminal and scan people should be rather simple, obviously you need a battery and a method to pressure button so payment is accepted. They claim it easy to detect fraud but not how and as all frauds I expect money have to be removed before this happen.
