Thanks Jon. At the present rate of progress it will be at least a day 
before I an test for real, but if 20ms is enough, the halscope looks 
great right now. With the other stuff I have to do too, I'm getting 
maybe 3 hours a day to do this so its not going as fast as I'd like.

Man sserial doesn't tell you about the limits the 7i76 imposes. So I've 
had to find out for myself.  That, and trying to solder these GS12-5 
connectors.
