Hello Dave, I would not have problems in using home with index like you're using it. The thing is, the machine already has all the switches wired and working perfectly, and I don't trust in using only index or the home switch. I think the best is to use both together. Now with the original Mazatrol T1 control I turn on the machine, home the two axis and I'm more than confident that it will be in perfect position just like the day before. I will like to replicate that as close as possible. But what I find strange is that behaviour of not detecting the index pulse when I combine it with the home switch. I don't know if theres's something to do with the homing sequence, or not having the Z axis wired and configured too for homing. I'm only testing the X axis at the moment.
