Those disposable, oil free air compressors from harbor freight (or most other big box stores) are barely worth the zinc they are cast from. And aren't good for much other than pumping up the occasional car tire, or powering a nail gun for hobby purposes. They certainly are not up to continual usage at anything close to their rated CFM.

Those el-cheapo gizmo's are very profligate with their use of air. Burns up a $125 HF 2hp air compressor. This makes far more sense for smaller machines spinning 1/8" tooling.
