Amen Ken, one of my downfalls. The oh look, a pony syndrome. Scary at
times too.

I have the motor ON the BS-1 with one bolt and running a piece of gcode
to make hal calibrate the scale on that thing, but doing 100 turns at 6
or 7 degrees/sec is boring so I came in and made another pot of coffee
and got out a clean cup as that one was seriously due for a rebore. It
can run by itself, doesn't need me sitting there watching it doing its
thing in slow motion. It will take at least an hour to complete that
move since i told it 600 counts/sec and 3900000 counts. Average pwm duty
is below 40% so it could go faster. For a guess, that one bolthole is so
close to coaxial center that the coupling isn't walking a bit. Neither
the driver nor the motor is making any great heat, so I think I've got
it, once calibrated. Progress, as long as I don't get distracted...
