I hope you and your family have managed to avoid the virus
and are doing well.
We mostly have, but Daniel did get the "Covid toes" about April.
Matthias has been a police officer in Topeka for about a
year now, so not that far from you.
I've attached a writeup on what has been going on with us.
How is your shop coming along? I know you were still
getting set up when I was there last, it has been
quite a while.

Ann has been living with us for some time, but we have seen no sign of her
following through on the travel trailer/nomad plan, to our great relief.
Ellen is still teaching 2nd grade in the Lousiana, MO schools. She has put
in requests with some St. Louis area school districts, but no action, yet.
Her roommate, and now two of the roommate's kids have confirmed COVID.
Ellen so far has dodged that bullet, but she had to be out of work for two
weeks.
Naomi is doing doordash now, as her cleaning business in Chicago is pretty
much shut down.
Matthias has been a Topeka police officer for almost a year, now. They have
had a second baby, the two were born about 11 months apart. (We now know
these are called "Irish twins.") They are looking at buying some property
and moving out of Topeka.
Daniel transferred to the LA office of PriceWaterhouse, and has lots of
crazy stories about the COVID madness out there. Also about hopping in
his car and going to the beach for a run nearly every day. Jealous? ME?
Samuel is the last one in college, at Lindenwood.
The big news here is I bought a more modern pick and place machine from an
auction for $500 (I was the only bidder). After careful examination of the
pictures, I was pretty sure this unit was in the best condition of all the
machines in that auction. It arrived in working condition, and then stuff
started to break. I had to replace a major circuit board without being
completely sure that was the problem (but it was) and then a camera went out
and I had to replace that. Other stuff was messed up (a head had been replaced
by monkeys and they didn't realize the motor was the wrong type, and they lost
a bunch of ball bearings out of a ball spline while fooling with it.
THEN, I had to learn all the details of programming it.
Anyway, after spending about $6000 more Dollars on repair parts and accessories,
it is fully functional and I have assembled a few circuit boards with it.
Now, I have to find somebody to take my OLD pick & place machine.
I've been working remotely from WU most of the time, and go in for a few hours
about one day a week. We have too MANY Zoom calls, now, that just drone on
endlessly.
We are not going anywhere for the holidays this year, everything is just
too messy.
