I get mine direct from Bergerda (3 just arrived yesterday). Payment is via
credit card on Alibaba. Shipping is an arm and a leg for FedEx. But then
often shipping into Canada from some of these sites also lists between $80 and
$130 for a $200 drive so hard to say.

Found out they were also charged $20 for a magnetic inspection. There is a
label on the box that states the Gauss reading at 2.1 meters. Don't know if
FedEx insists on that to prevent interference on their aircraft or if it's just
a general thing. Even with FedEx it still took 6 days which I guess is better
than 3 to 5 weeks.

What I did find out with the temporary POS Gecko replacement was that although
the stepper driver boxes may look identical on the outside they aren't the same
inside. The one I bought off Amazon for $80 Cdn (Free Prime Shipping) on the
inside according to Bergerda doesn't match theirs. And apparently all their PC
boards have their logo on it. The Amazon one has an audible 3.6kHz very awful
whine when idle.

It looks like there is a lot of copying going on. I've seen identical looking
motors without drives going for $80 to $200.

I'll have the 0.73kW, 3.5NM, 0-2000 RPM drive hooked up to the milling machine
knee later this week. I'll report on how it goes then.
