I have used the esp32 in several projects and like it a lot.  Once I'm 
comfortable with the stmbl smartserial code I can try a port.

I have long had the idea that an Arduino implementation of Smart
Serial would be useful, but I have not found any arduinos that can
handle 2.5Mbit.
However, searching just now I have found that the ESP32 can run at
5Mbit, and those run in the Arduino environment.
Which opens up the intriguing possibility of Wifi and bluetooth
smart-serial devices...
