In terms of linearity or in terms of resolution? Resolution is hard to quantify, as they are analogue devices, so the accuracy is dependent on the measurement device, not the sensor. The Mesa 7i49 anual, for example states " The 7I49 has approximately 14 bits of resolution and 12 bits of absolute accuracy." So that is approximately equivalent to a 4096 count encoder, for a single-pole resolver. But higher for a multi-pole resolver. (the resolver pole count often matches the motor pole count) -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1912 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
