I really have no idea what was going on but it sure looked weird to me.
The other guy did "something" and then it worked. If the scope was
showing the derivative I guess that would make sense, but if the rise
time for the analog output of the 7i77 is a whole millisecond, that
seems surprisingly bad to me considering it is being commanded by the
square wave output of Siggen.
The 7I77 analog hardware has a ~120 usec rise time so if fed a square wave
command you should see this, not 1 ms.
I have him using the probes set to 10x, and he supposedly calibrated
them. Would it be better if the probes were set to 1x? These are
relatively slow signals we're looking at, only 100Hz square waves.
