Hi all,

Part success. I can access the internet with it now although it's a bit slow.

However, all of the sudo apt update and apt install samba etc. are broken
links. The lack of long term support for Version 2.8 is clear.

I think I asked this question once before. What's the easiest way to upgrade
to 2.9...

My recollection was that it was best to save a copy of the LinuxCNC folder and
user folder onto a USB drive and then just install from scratch the latest
LinuxCNC. Then bring back the user and linux folders.

Does that make sense?

Alternatively buy the latest and greatest block of hardware that doesn't
periodically flag latency errors and has two hardwired Ethernet ports.
Suggestions for that are also welcome.

Thanks
John
