I just discovered that I can upload a step file to Claude-desktop, tell it my stock, tools, work coordinates, and specify the operations I want, and it will generate good g-code directly. No CAM package needed. I suspect I could upload a photo of a hand drawn sketch and go from there. I'll try running a couple of these parts tomorrow. I also plan to try having Claude write me a nice little g-code simulator in python to preview his code.
