We once tried to become a GNU project. It seems we got past some
"screening", because we got a savannah account with no problem.
But then, someone at GNU noticed we didn't follow the "usual
procedure":

That got me a bit annoyed, and I got sidetracked real-life-wise,
so I didn't follow it through anymore. Should we do that now?
