It's quite easy in KDE as well, and in other window managers, but right after I started using Emms I became disillusioned with KDE and started trying out different window managers. For a while I used the same emacsclient commands with the regular binding mechanism in Fvwm (my current preferred WM), but then I found out about Xbindkeys. Should I choose to try Gnome (or move to another system where Fvwm is unavailable), all I need is my config file. Joel -- Joel J.
