Hi, I cannot reproduce this.
For me, a "listening now" scrobble is submitted to listenbrainz the track starts playing and a single permanent submission when the track ends (in both cases, the work is done by emms-listenbrainz-scrobbler-make-async-submission-call hence the optional arg). Check the recent plays at https://listenbrainz.org/user/franburstall/ on 23rd Nov for proof of permanent storage. Is there any chatter in your Messages buffer about listenbrainz? ---Fran On Sun, 23 Nov 2025 at 14:58, Igor Sosa Mayor <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi emms-users, > > there is a small/big problem with the listenbrainz code: the items are > not store in the permanent storage of listenbrainz. > > If I am not wrong, the reason is very easy to find: > https://listenbrainz.readthedocs.io/en/latest/users/json.html#json-doc > > The second note on this page says: > > Playing Now listens are only stored temporarily.
