Hi guys and gals.
BTW: How are you (and everyone else on this channel)?
We just launched the http://trendlink.com/ , a website that aggregates trends in the stockmarket. It's still in beta as we lack price-data for a third of the instruments and yet have to come up with a proper homepage.
As our frustration with Hibernate grew we decided to replace it with something less abstract. It boiled down to Springs' JdbcTemplate and Empire-db but as i am a big fan of string-free coding and toying with new technologies and components we ended up with the latter.
I like the ease of extensibility the class hierarchy allows and how extended DBTable classes visually correspond to the db-schema while automatically giving me support in every IDE.
So far we didn't encounter any bottlenecks although we are already at 2 million rows (postgres) with the historic-price-data.
Hopefully i can provide some code as soon as everything is cleaned up. Cheers, Andi. -- web: http://andreasfink.com/ mail: [email protected] tel: +34 93 2082949
