Thanks for the reply, Rainer! Let's keep the two thread topics separate to 
reduce confusion. :-)

Some people can be effective and "provocative" like Coding Horror, or 
http://teddziuba.com/ - but that style can also alienate people. I believe most 
developers believe Hibernate is good and well known tool choice, so a frontal 
attack on the ORM concept will bring skepticism or possibly even contempt. That 
is not a good position to show people a better way with Empire DB. 

After I have a chance to explore further, I may have some suggestions. 

Are there any topics that have already been hashed to death in discussion, or 
any sacred cows? (so I can avoid them!)
