Could you elaborate a little bit on what the problem with using `bool` is? Could you perhaps link to your issue/discussion?
We use `bool` a bunch now in emscripten, including at the wasm/JS boundary. I have seen one issue where we were passing values other than 1 or 0, and the C compiler was treating it as undefined behaviour. Other than that, I don't think I've heard of any other issues.
