CAVNET serves over a thousand advocates and experts from around the world addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, incest, stalking, youth violence, youth suicide, and crime victims with disabilities. We operate an invitation-only/application-only listserv, as well as a comprehensive online database/website � participants are given submission authority and help build the database. We already have over 2,000 carefully selected items in the database, and the collection is growing daily. I am a former prosecutor, and formerly served as Special Counsel to the Violence Against Women Office at the Justice Department. Participants include national and rural programs, rape crisis centers and coalitions, domestic violence shelters and coalitions, as well as members of law enforcement, clergy, lawyers, social workers, and hundreds of others.
