GREEN BAY, WI - November 17, 2001 - En Chem, Inc., one of the fastest
growing environmental service providers in the United States,
announced today that it has been chosen by the Japan External Trade
Organization (JETRO) to participate in its Export to Japan Study
Program. En Chem is one of only 52 companies worldwide, and the only
company from the Midwest, chosen to participate in the nine-day
government sponsored program.

Established in 1958 by the Japanese government for the development of
Japan's oversees trade, JETRO has expanded to offices throughout the
world actively encouraging imports to Japan and facilitating technical
exchanges with many nations. As participants, a representative from En
Chem will have the unique opportunity to visit Japan and gain
firsthand knowledge of the Japanese marketplace. With the aim of
cultivating foreign export to Japan, the program will include
seminars, panel discussions, and visits to regional markets. JETRO
will also arrange meetings with Japanese corporations and
organizations for participants according to their individual business
interests.

En Chem President and founder, Dr. David Turriff, PhD, believes that
trends in the environmental industry point to a more global
marketplace as more and more countries become more environmentally
aware. "We believe that future growth in the environmental industry is
going to occur more in the international arena where regulations are
just coming on line. En Chem has been exploring markets in China,
Singapore, Korea and Japan. Japan is a particularly growing market and
this award will allow us to connect with the right people in Japan."

The export program is yet another step for En Chem and En Novative
Technologies as they explore more of the Asian environmental industry.
In June of 2000, En Chem announced plans for the joint venture
establishment of a PCB and dioxin testing center in Chinas' Liaoning
Province. The first of its kind in that country, the center is already
operational for some testing.

Based in Wisconsin, En Chem, is the 12th largest environmental
laboratory in the United States. En Chem's analytical expertise began
in providing analytical services for underground storage tank or UST
testing. Today, En Chem's expertise encompasses almost every aspect of
the environmental testing market including the analysis of biological
matrices and, more recently through a commercial partnership with
Hybrizyme, analytical capabilities for PCB and Dioxin. Because of
their serious threat to health, even at low levels, fast and easy PCB
and Dioxin testing has become an important factor for many
industrialized nations.

En Novative Technologies, Inc., En Chem's product development and
distribution subsidiary, is at the forefront of the environmental
sampling market in the United States. En Chem hopes to bring to the
global market the benefits of its research and development in this
area of technology.
