It's been a while, but I've finally sent a patch to the list that resolves one of the major discrepancies: https://lists.enigmail.net/pipermail/enigmail-users_enigmail.net/2013-December/001182.html but none of the patches in that set have had any response on the list. maybe they got filtered out somehow? anyway, feedback is welcome!
