No, I never noticed that. Also, I cannot reproduce this here (Mac OS 10.9, TB 24.2, Enigmail nightly) with Manual key selection activated. I don't think that Enigmail normally shows such a misbehaviour. This would get noticed very soon and would produce a lot of bug reports. But you are affected, and we should fix this.
