What can go wrong, I thought - if it works on Linux.......

Wrong - it refused to read in the keyring, and worse than that screwed
everything up irretrievably.

Note for future reference - wait a bit longer for Robert J to reply :-(

I had a backup! I've gone back to 1.4.
