I was thinking it would be nice if IBar could automatically add launch
items for programs that the user opens manually via a xterm or a run
dialog.
The user interface could be implemented a number of ways:
- Dialog: "IBar noticed you ran an application that is not already
in your launch menu, do you wish to add it?"
The interface could give the user an item to drag-drop, a selection of
the menu to place it in, etc.
- Less Intrusive:
Accumulate used programs that haven't been placed in their own special
location somewhere that the user can access and add them later.
- Physical methods:
Drag the icon from engage to the ibar. Drag the application from the
pager to the ibar.
- Application Menu:
In E's context menu for the application you could have a "Add to IBar"
entry.
