To take a shot with the menu open, try:
sleep 5 && import -window root foo.png
(i'm sure you can do somethign similar with scrot)
then, you have 5 seconds to get the menu open before it takes the shot. -- rephorm

Here is a screenshot: oh dude!! I can't take a screenshot on a menu while it's pulled down!!!! And E16 won't react to my keybindings also :'(!!!!!! (I've set up my E to call scrot with this:

BTW I wanted to know if it was normal that E16 crash when I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL ? I have :
