DONT build with -mfpmath=sse do NOT use that flag. at ALL. in fact disable it
if possible -fpmath=387 (if on x86 or amd64... i think). you will find -O2 the
best to use and u'll get some extra milage from -march=pentium4 if you're on a
p4 (oe pentium3  or athalon or whatever - see manual for gcc for flags for your
favorite cpu)
