A few things:
Include backgrounds from theme files
(/prefix/share/enlightenment/themes/* and ~/.e.e/themes/*)
If a bg doesn't have a thumbnail group, generate a thumb using the
buffer engine rather than just using the full blown bg. Or at least clip
the bg to the box it's in, to prevent this from happening:

Other than that, looks good!
I'm guessing the advanced dialog will let you select a bg for each zone?
