Woops, sorry about the IRC comment, I wrote it all wrong, what i was trying to say is that i talked with others having the same sort of problems compiling E or EFL libs with GCC4 (on Gentoo IIRC).
I have also experienced some weird problems with GCC4 (on OpenSUSE 10) while trying to compile QEMU, same error missing symbols that are there. Googling around a bit dosen't give much, it can probably be a combination of libtool + gcc4 who knows i have no evidence to back it up, altough there is this link: http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-devel/2005-July/000904.html I don't have gcc4 here soo I cannot tell.
