this is bad as it should disallow the drop as there is no .eap file associated
with eh app yet - and the eap is not generated properly as there is no icon to
use (as its just ARGB pixels in memory and thus not exported to something
edje_cc can use).

yup. that's what woudl happen. the icon file is kind of mangled.
