All right, point taken ;-) As soon as I got this d*$# thesis finished I 
can start thinking about coding again. But even then, I remember that it 
is a good thing to ask the one in charge whether or not a certain 
feature is likely to be accepted before starting work on it. Wouldn't be 
the first time that I ended up with a patch that I had to apply/adapt to 
cvs every other time because the maintainer didn't like the feature 
(wasn't for e17, however).
