There are some documents on the wiki on creating widgets in Edje. You  
can also try talking to dresb as he's doing that documentation stuff  
at the moment. You can see the wiki at wiki.enlightenment.org.  
Otherwise, I'd say embed Ewl into your application as it will make  
development a lot faster.

You can always add custom theming to your Ewl widgets if you need them  
to fit into something specific.
