Many of the entrance strings are stored in a simple config database. If 
you installed in /opt/e17, here is a sample command that would change 
this string:

$ ecore_config -c /opt/e17/etc/entrance_config.cfg -k 
/entrance/greeting/before -s "Willkommen in"

Also useful:

$ecore_config -c /opt/e17/etc/entrance_config.cfg -a
