Sir! I have battled with various display managers over the years, all of
which seem to want to do this and not that, to prepare one thing for the
user but not another, etc, etc, and I simply have to say that whoever
uses a display manager deserves what *they* get! Why, the other day some
poor chap couldn't even get Entrance itself to ensure his session was
initialised properly; XRDB was not being executed, amongst other things.
