I don't know yet. I may consider writing a library that will just
convert an uri to a local path as a char* and use fuse to mount the
right filesystem (so we don't create yet another vfs). Then Eio would
not need to be changed internally and externally to do that job.
That's an idea, but as you say definitivly not for 1.0.
