This is what I use in my embedded project -

zlib
m4
pkg-config
eina
libjpeg
libpng
eet
freetype
expat
fontconfig
evas
ecore
embryo
lua
edje

Plus a few other things like busybox and bash.  Maybe it's freetype
that you are missing?
