Thanks for the heads up Joe. I reverted the patch in both trunk and stable branch. Alex, it seems the idea of monitoring the Wayland FD is correct, but the implementation is wrong, as it is blocking the mainloop. Can you try to investigate this further? I'm quite busy for the rest of the year and will not be able to look at this issue for the next two to three weeks.
