maybe once from system (systemd/init or something else not e related) and then
e sees both an acpi event to start a sleep AND maybe a x keybinding pressing a
sleep button etc. thus the repeated sleeps. the problem is.. you want only one
of these for your hw/system/os to be configured but all of them are and e has
no way of knowing which ones will or will not be triggered thus all of them are
set up... plus maybe the system suspending anyway (i had a problem with
systemd powering off my laptop anyway when i hit power and e not being able to
intercept and popup its syscon dialog before the system shut down anyway)
