I believe that bug was introduced with the R325.08 driver version and 
still not fixed in R331.20. I think it's related to this entry in the 
Changelog:
"======== Release 325 Entries ========
2013-07-01 version 325.08
* Generate a BadMatch error when applications attempt to create GLX 
pixmaps using glXCreatePixmap() or glXCreateGLXPixmapWithConfigSGIX()
and the pixmap's depth doesn't match that of the specified GLXFBConfig."

I can confirm that Texture from pixmap works in R319.72.
